RIYADH – Saudi mosques received, today, Sunday, worshipers to perform the first dawn prayer, after a closure that lasted for more than two months as part of measures to counter the Corona virus.
The Saudi Press Agency, “SPA” (official), broadcast a number of shots from the various mosques of the Kingdom, for Fajr prayer, amid strict precautionary measures.
The worshipers also performed the dawn prayer at the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, amid commitment to the precautionary measures followed to prevent Corona, according to Was.
These measures included a two-meter spacing, adequate spacing between rows, and a temporary lifting of the Qur’an.
In addition to closing all mosques freezers and refrigerators, closing toilets and places of ablution, and not allowing the distribution of water, food, perfumery and miswak, according to the same source.
On March 17, Saudi Arabia decided to suspend the prayers of the group and Friday in all mosques of the Kingdom, as part of precautionary measures taken by the country to reduce the outbreaks of the Corona virus.
On Tuesday, the Saudi authorities announced the reopening of mosques for prayers, as part of easing anti-Corona measures.
It was decided to allow Friday and Friday prayers to be held in all mosques of the Kingdom, with the exception of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, from May 31 to June 20.
It was also decided to continue to work with the decision to suspend Umrah, visit the Noble Prophet’s Mosque and flights until further notice, while Friday and Friday prayers continue at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, according to the precautionary health measures followed.
As of Saturday, Corona virus infection in Saudi Arabia amounted to 83,384, including 480 deaths, and 58,883 recoveries .- (Anatolia)
