Newcastle United are preparing to make a third bid for Crystal Palace defensive mainstay Marc Guehi.
Newcastle United are looking to strengthen their backline before the end of the current transfer season. They have presented a second offer for Crystal Palace starlet Marc Guehi. However, their offer was rejected because it exceeded the asking price of almost £15 million.

The Magpies haven’t given up on their quest just yet, and according to the Daily Mail, Eddie Howe’s team is preparing to return with a stronger offer for Guehi. They are preparing to make a third proposal for the 24-year-old English international.

While things did not work out at Chelsea, his move to the Eagles in the summer of 2021 provided him with an opportunity to establish himself in the Premier League. He has grown stronger with each passing season.

Newcastle wants to sign Marc Guehi.
Gareth Southgate picked him up for Euro 2024 after seeing his regular performances, and he ended up being one of England’s finest players at the tournament. His performances have put him on Newcastle’s radar as they look for defensive reinforcements in the final weeks of the transfer window.

Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman are both out injured, and Howe wants to bring in a new centre-back to ensure he has adequate quality.

Newcastle will return with a third offer.
The Mapges have identified him as their top target for the summer and are going all hard to secure his services. After their initial offer was rejected, they returned with a revised offering of slightly under £50 million. However, even that did not work out since the Eagles want £65 million for their defensive mainstay.

Newcastle’s sporting director, Paul Mitchell, who is overseeing the negotiations, is preparing to make an increased offer in the coming days in the hopes of signing their top summer target. It’ll be interesting to see how close their third bid is to matching the asking price. It could be critical in their chances of obtaining his services.
