Tottenham complete the £30 million signing of Burnley winger Wilson Odobert on a five-year contract… as the former PSG youth star becomes Spurs’ fifth summer purchase.

Tottenham have confirmed that they have agreed an agreement with Burnley winger Wilson Odobert.

Spurs announced on their website that the athlete signed a five-year contract and would wear the number 28 shirt.

The transfer fee has been announced at £25 million plus £5 million in add-ons, despite the Frenchman’s current market worth of around £8.5 million (€10 million).

Odobert made 33 appearances for Burnley in the 2023-24 season, scoring four goals, three of which were in the Premier League.

Despite playing in Burnley’s Championship-winning game against Luton Town, where he scored, Odobert’s deal comes as Tottenham continue their hectic transfer window, with multiple exits and arrivals this summer.

Wilson Odobert, a PSG academy product from 2017 to 2022, has yet to play for France’s senior side but has represented the country at several levels, including the Under 20s, Under 21s, and Under 23s.
However, the 2004-born player has not been included to Thierry Henry’s France squad for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He started his senior career at Troyes, where he made 32 appearances and scored four goals. However, his team ended 19th and was relegated to Ligue 2.

Vincent Kompany, Burnley’s previous manager, was particularly pleased with the winger’s level, saying: ‘I will almost stop from saying what I actually think about him because, at this moment in time, I don’t think people know how brilliant he is.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have been looking for a young winger, with earlier rumors indicating that they would explore suitable offers for Manor Solomon, who has failed to impress Ange Postecoglou since joining in the summer of 2023.
